Probably the cheapest way to get a awesome VR and AR helmet.

you already have a smartphone, powerful, portable and expensive

In the tradition of dream, mira and meta 2 headset

put your smartphone in the headset, connect and get an AR headset

The two cameras on the helmet allow tracking and to get the position tracking of controllers.

For the VR use the cover and hide the screen but especially the edges so that it does not have any interference of light by masking the edges

vents allow to decrease heat of the headset

standalone (phone only) or connected with a wire to a computer, the phone supports the tracking part and all the power to the computer for the program and the rendering
